Dear Booster Supporters,
Welcome to Boosters. We are thrilled to have you as a valued member of the Sonoma Valley High
School community, providing support to our students for the 2023/2024 school year. Through the generous support of this community, Boosters was able to fund various new and established clubs, sports and activities. The previous school year Boosters funded a new Color Guard Club, a boys Volleyball program, the drama club production, the student newspaper, a brand-new cheer mat, a brand-new wrestling mat, 1,200 free Dragon Day shirts, new cameras at Pfeiffer Gym and Midgley Field to be used by all sports and levels of sports played in those 2 venues and 2 college scholarships. Aside from all these supplemental requests that were funded, Boosters provided financial support to 12 other sports. The funds that Boosters allocates to our students at SVHS are so generously donated by all of our amazing community members. I would personally like to take this opportunity to thank all of our
community for entrusting us as your board to be the stewards of your amazing donations. Without your support our students would undoubtedly not have the enriching experiences they have participated in, and their high school experience would not be as fulfilling. In May of 2023 we received scholarship applications, and I had the opportunity to read those applications. That experience was eye opening to me as I wrapped up my first year as your President. I had one applicant that expressed how the activities they were able to participate in made a difference in the personal growth, friendship, and general team building aspects of the shy quiet way they lived. The other was a very outgoing involved individual who seized every opportunity they saw. They were two very unique students who both found ways of connecting with their SVHS community in meaningful ways through the funding provided to various extracurricular activities by Boosters. This IS what Boosters was chartered to do for our school.
SVHS Boosters is comprised of an all-volunteer board, funded 100% by donations and volunteer work that continues to give 100% of the funds we receive to the students at Sonoma Valley High School. We are proud that our volunteer efforts impact the entire SVHS student body in various ways. We look forward to another successful year working with our entire community. Thank you Sonoma!
